Lurked here for a while, and thought I'd take the opportunity of the new year to introduce myself. Reasonable player (2054 Fide and falling, 2154 USCF)), but started finding a little more time for some structured study. Got to month 4 of the course so far (though been a member for more months than that!), and between this course, Rowson's Chess for Zebras, and a couple of Fritz Trainer DVDs feel I am slowly starting to get my thinking process sorted.

Goals - to play a couple more US tournaments over the next years and make National Master as I've heard you get a certificate (!), and reach 2200 Fide.

Play on RedHotPawn as Osse, and OTB in the UK mostly, sometimes US if I can fit games in between business travel.

Welcome Osse. Any recommendations on endgame strategy?

Endgame strategy? For endgames, I just have Muller & Lamprecht's Fundamental Chess Endgames. Occasionally set up positions from this to play out against Fritz, then compare my thoughts with the analysis they give. Otherwise I read Mednis' book From the Opening to the Endgame years ago, and that was quite valuable in thinking about planning endgames.

Thanks for joining. Generally great to see so many talented players here, way out of my league!
