Best way to add year 2 in forum?
I'm going to add a 'year two' category. I think splitting it up by month might be overkill. What do you think? People would have to specify the month in their topic titles or posts. Most posters could handle that I think. If it starts to really blow up, I could split it up by month, or by quarter.
Any opinions?

I think a new year it's good idea.
Splitting too much is not necessary, since already in year 1, apart from the first 3 months, the other are a bit empty.
Just put 1 new topic, if it goes full, you can always split again later as you said.

Seems there is no news for year 2. Did they abandon the plan?

???
See the forum heading 'Year Two' and discussion therein. It's alive and well, not sure why you think there is no news! There is a year two of the course! Not much discussion of it. People drop out of this course exponentially with each month
Re: Best way to add year 2 in forum?
Really? I would have thought that people wouldn't drop the course until the end of a year and then assess... why would you spend $500 on a chess course and not complete it?!
I must admit to have slowed down my rate of study now that I have month 13... it's taking me 3-4 months to do the last two months of content ^_^

I've just started going through the year 2 first month stuff and it looks very good. Well annotated, relevent/important games supported by supplemental video. And the chessbase files now accompany the pdf files.
The games include diagrams that are designed to be used as positional study examples. I just wish they were broken out into separate exercises for study (it's impossible not to see the next moves when playing into the diagrams).
Comparing the annotations to chesspub.com I would say that the instructive value of the ICS material is superior for my needs because of it's focus on playing techniques vs opening theory.
