practicing openings on chess.com
This isn't an ad for chess.com or anything, it's just a site I like to play at. I just found out last night that at chess.com you can create a game with a specific opening that you want and the board will be set up with the opening moves already played. For example, I just finished reading the article on the Czech Benoni and I created a game that starts with A56 Czech Benoni, pretty cool and a great way to practice the openings imo.

You can even host tournaments with a specific opening at chess.com -- now THAT is really good for learning an opening!

Yea, I was going to do that, but I'm not a premium member and I don't want to spend more money on chess right now. Maybe I will after I'm a few months into this course

Oh yeah... I forgot that you have to be a paying member to do that... I guess you could always ask someone to host the tourney :-)
