New "old man" reporting for duty Empty New "old man" reporting for duty

Post by Larsen_fan March 11th 2011, 2:50 am

I just signed up for the first year for the main course but not the opening course.

40 years, 4 kids (0, 2, 5, 7). Very active as a junior but took a break for more than 20 years. Started up this autum with 1600 rating and have improved to 1711 the past ½ year. Never studied chess in any structured way but looking forward very much to doing so. I do not have a specific goal in terms of rating improvement but simply wants to find out how good I can (still) be.

Very nice debate forum - helped convince me ICS is worth trying out. Looking forward to getting to know you all.

best,

Welcome aboard. I don't think you will be disapointed with the course.

Is that youngest 0- or 0+?

Congrats on the new Baby! Use those off days to get ahead in your ICS studies, before the wife realizes what you are doing. LOL
