New Updates To Main Module Year 1

I see the ICS team are starting to update the Year 1 main module now with 3 videos so far added to Month 1.

Raul told me a couple months back that there were going to rework both the main module and the opening preparation so nice to see they are being true to their word.

I'm going to redo Month 1 I think as that module really helped my chess a lot. I probably don't need more knowledge right now, but rather the discipline and right thinking to apply what I already have, so I think going over the first month again, and looking over these new videos will be a good idea.

Hopefully this is just the beginning and they start to update every month, and the openings module too.

This adds a lot of value to the course imo.

Yep, videos are a great plus.

Indeed, what makes a difference between FICS and ICC if not the chessFM radio and the videos ? A video is more useful to show variations and things like "what would happen if...".

These videos come at a great time to do a review of the fundamentals.
ICS has been a great value in my opinion - it's nice to deal with a company that just keeps on improving.

do you guys know if there would be any videos in the rest of the modules? like months 2,3,4 ? bcs i only received the videos on module one.

Currently there are 3 videos on month 1.
I've subscribed to year 2 and now, there are 8 videos per month, and this is very good stuff.

i mean in year one updated version...

They have now just added 3 video's to Month 2 also.

I just noticed the videos for yr1 month2 as well (as I am only in month 2), kudos to them for working to improve a (thus far) substantially beneficial program!

The vides have been great so far, the only annoying part of these videos is the waiting for the commentry. Sometimes you wait for 5 seconds while the commentator translates his own word... or something. It's ok but it just means the video is 40 minutes when it could be done in 25.

EG: "The cozeqvenzes fir diz muv are dat the ... 5 seconds ... lung dyagonul ... 5 seconds ... is ... 3 seconds ... opn for use by white ... 4 seconds ... and ... 2 seconds ... d5 is now free for black" etc.

Just finished watching them, thought they were excellent, his commentary flowed much better than in Month 1's videos imo, I managed to spot all of the first moves in the sacrifical sequences but wasn't sure on the follow up, amazing how deep these guys think. I wonder if they're planning to make videos for every month now? I hope so.

But they are very informative and truly reinforce the lessons.

is anyone else unable to down load the material? I am doing month 1 again and i use to like to D/L the annotated games and go over them using Chessbase 11. I can't D/L the information anymore.

I don't recall that there were any ChessBase files that month other than the Opening Repertoire files.

I think the only option is to use the header info and look up the games in CB (or elsewhere).

Except for the Browser files that is.....

Thanks PC, When i first started the ICS i d/l all the games and information and filed them according to each month. The course has changed since then and there are some new files that I don't have d/l'ed. I will look up the games elsewhere as you suggested.

One of the most hilarious comments I have read for a long time. I took close to 10 seconds to understand what lung dyagonul was
