For anyone who has Month 10 and beyond
What are the annotated games and examples for the 1.d4 openings in Months 10-13 like?
Do they have well annotated games for all, or most of the 1.d4 openings? Is there a nice amount of material, how many games are we talking each month?
I've worked through all of their Indian Defences 1.d4 Nf6 now, from the Dutch to Kings Indian and whether it's a great module or a poor one really depends on how they follow up the last 3 months.
I'm hoping we will get at least 2 or 3 model games for each major opening so we can really assimilate and understand the ideas.
Can anyone comment on this?

Re: For anyone who has Month 10 and beyond
Months 10 and 11 were ok.
I just received the opening module for month 12, and it looks like a data-dump to me. A number of games for the King's Indian with no comments or notes.
I complained to them about it. We'll see what they say.

Did they reply yet Cofresi? That does sound disappointing.
I take it Month 11 was better? What did they cover there?

Re: For anyone who has Month 10 and beyond
I've just got Month 11 and I have to agree it's virtually useless material. I still don't feel like I understand their KID material from Month 2 and now they hit us with another system, and with no explanatory prose whatsoever!
I would have much rather they had gone into some more depth on the reportoire they had already laid out for us previously, this material was just a collection of unusuable data and notes.
Thumbs down from me.
Did they reply to your criticism? What did they say back?

Re: For anyone who has Month 10 and beyond
Just looked over the KID stuff from month 11, it looks pretty amazing to me. 38 pages that starts with lots of planning and explanation, review of material in chapter 2 (not just game dump). Seems like an impressive effort. That's independent of month 2 stuff, which if I remember correctly is fantastic on the KID, which this is just a supplement for. A few pages in they do just provide a bunch of games, but that's helpful too IMO, if they exemplify the large amounts of theory they already gave.
Hence, if there are "game dumps" in month 12, that's probably because there is lots of great prose-heavy stuff in Month 2, more in month 11, and month 12 games (which I haven't got yet) are meant to round them out. That's my guess.
Similar long articles on the other openings in month 11. Note I'm not working through it so maybe there are discrepancies between earlier and later work, and it would be good to have specifics they are pretty responsive to specific complaints.

Sorry I meant Month 12 BDK. Month 11 is pretty good, but Month 12 is just a list of variations in the Nimzo Indian with f3 and the KID Gligoric System, no sample games, no explanatory text, just uncommentated moves, pretty much all garbage.

Re: For anyone who has Month 10 and beyond
Just to clarify, Month 12 is two completely new systems, a variation for the Nimzo Indian, and a completely new system for the KID.
They don't bother to give any games on the rest of the White reportoire so we are missing any further analysis on playing against the Slav for example in place of some new opening systems with just variation after variation of moves.
Maybe they will cover the rest of the openings in Month 13, I hope so.

Not got month 11 or 12 yet but...
the advert is:
"a complete preparation on opening theory"
Are there not some big gaps?
what about 1.. b6 against anything. What should white play?
What about exchange slav?
What about responses to c4?
what is response recommended to Nf3?
Is there anything? These are not uncommon variations.

Re: For anyone who has Month 10 and beyond
I would not complain the absence of f3,h3, Na3, Nh3 but there should be something against Bird's opening by giving with some nice lines besides d4.
Using d4 to make reversed-dutch is not very comfortable indeed as I tried. Lacking 1 tempo is quite formidable.
The most important: I don't want to say "I do not know English" after completing the opening module...

Re: For anyone who has Month 10 and beyond
They have added some nice updates to the opening modules this weekend!
A reportoire for Black that covers the following Queen's pawn openings, the Colle, London System and Pseudo Trompowsky. There are in Month 7.
Also in Month 12 I believe, maybe 13 they have provided a White reportoire for the QGD Exchange variation with the modern Nge2 and central thrust approach.
This is great for me as I am a Queen's Gambit player.
Also a couple more videos in Month 3, bringing the total to 6 or 7 in that month alone! They are really adding some great value to the course like this, and it;s great that we who have paid for the Year 1 course ages ago continue to get all the updates.

Agree, but it would be much better (and a whole lot more professional) if they notified all current members of this new content.

I think you could do well with the Dutch ICS material against 1.c4.
I'd bet that if they do add a defense against the English that that would be the approach, and just flesh out a couple of variations.

I completely disagree about them notifying us. The course is an updating one so you should be checking in. Besides I hate the fact that 90% of my email inbox is either spam or various websites contacting me. Just leave me alone already!

There are such things as options. If you don't want to be notified you should be able to turn it off. Professionalism!

Yes, it would be good to have a notification system for updates: it would only help them. I typically find out about updates at this site.
Re: For anyone who has Month 10 and beyond
Same. If I hadn't seen post here telling me about the videos, I still wouldn't have seen them.
