Anyone interested in doing the tactics part of the course over the next seven months?
I was just going over the board visualization training and it is really well done. An excellent slow buildup to more complicated 'blindfold' problem solving.
Since I am not good enough to worry much about strategy, and don't have the time to do that part of the course right now, I am thinking of doing just the tactics part of the course for the next year, starting with Month 1 in March. I will track my progress each month in a thread that those joining me can discuss our progress and such.
It really is like a visualization mini-course in itself, and deserves a bit more attention, especially for the tactically deficient players like me that shouldn't focus on strategy too much....
So, anyone interested? I'll start a thread in March....call it something like the "Tactics Club" or something for fun (any ideas for a good name?).

I just started on day12 and if nothing else it has helped with my annotation OTB so far...I went back and took the difficult vision test, I never took it the 1st time, and got them all correct. However I am nowhere near being prepared for blindfold chess. I must say that I like the slow build up and can imagine that after 13 months, given hard work and consistent study on my part, improvement will be there, .

Unfortunately, the board visualisation ends relatively early, so there's nowhere near enough content for a year's worth. Mind you I am only on month 8 so there may be more coming.

Good point, so it would be a 7-month course (it ends in month 7). That suits me well, a year is a bit long I changed the title of the post.

Ah, I was thinking board visualisation only, and I was about to suggest it ends in month 4, but you are talking tactics!
