Poll of the day : 26 ways to get wrong.
I know, i know, it's not exhautive, but do not say you do not recognize yourself in these choices
Causes of mistakes on the board (choose 8 answers that defines you more).
(a) Exchange count miscalculation (loosing material at the end).
(b) Calculation not deep enough.
(c) Candidates moves missed in calculation.
(d) Overlook, hanging piece.
(e) King safety not verified.
(f) Lazyness (you know the correct play, but thinking hard hurts)
(g) Bored, trash the game.
(h) Played the weakeast move ever very very fast.
(i) Weak opening theory knowledge.
(j) Lost in endgame.
(k) Overconfident attack in middlegame.
(l) *No fear* factor, want to have fun, open with f4 pawn, etc...
(m) Tired, bad mood, bad day, drunk (and nevertheless played a game).
(n) Upset, mocked by opponent, loose your nerves.
(o) Who's your daddy attitude. (want to crush opponent at all costs, instead of a calm win).
(p) Draws are for wet chicken ! (win or loose that's all).
(q) Mouse slip, thick fingers.
(r) Too gentle (give more time, grant takeback, etc... and get smashed).
(s) Messed with the kid (where the hell did he learn these moves ?!)
(t) Hypnotized (thought the dark square bishop could go to a light square, or reverse the course of pawns in endgame, etc...)
(u) Forget to play, flagged, fell asleep.
(v) Compulsive eating (wow, this retard gives me a free piece! uh-oh how is this possible i get mated this soon?)
(w) No way i'm gonna exchange my queen! (generally followed by uh-oh trapped queen).
(x) I'm gonna play fancy to disturb this strong player...
(y) Watching superbowl and in the same time playing chess.
(z) Other (please describe)...
Edit : I cannot post a poll, because limited to 10 answers, just write the letters (and for fun, please add a lot of z's...).

Re: Poll of the day : 26 ways to get wrong.
e, h, i, j (who hasn't?)
k, m, m, m, m.
z. Incorrect calculation going for a clever tactic that led to a successful counter-tactic.
z. Refused draw offer only to go on to lose.
z. Time pressure forces you to play too fast and inaccurate.
z. Nervousness.
z. Winning, getting overexcited leading to bad calculation.
z. Winning, leading to overconfidence or the 'need' to finish him quick, leading to loss
z. Winning, calculated correct plan then decided at the last moment to play a move not against the plan (out of instinct/intuition) that allows a complete comeback.
