G'day! Empty G'day!

Post by BorgQueen July 6th 2010, 11:20 am

Hi all,

I'm 43, Aussie and this is my 2nd year being back from a 15 year break from OTB chess. I found after such a long time away, it is hard to get back into, especially openings, time pressure and positional awareness. Not to mention the blunders!

I've been playing online correspondence chess, but recently came to the conclusion that it's not helping any more... in fact it is slowing me down OTB due to the extreme amounts of time that online correspondence yields.

Looking forward to the course and the associated increase in strength of my OTB game!

Cheers!

Sorry, you've misunderstood.

I took a 15 year break from chess. I started playing again 2 years ago. I am only on month three of ICS.

Sorry to disappoint! :p

Hey Y`all,

I am so excited about taking this course. I have been playing chess for 20yrs (on and off). I am 32 yrs. old now. I never had any personal coach or trainor before. I haven`t played in any event that is FIDE rated.

I have 1900 uscf rating right now. Hopefully, I could become a chess master in a year or two. I am not really active in tournaments. The last time I played was in World Open in Pennsylvania, USA in 2007, with 5 wins, 4 draws and no defeat, something I am a bit disappointed that is why I stopped playing and just decided to play again.

I lacked organization in myself so when I see this is a very structured program, I quickly grab the opportunity.

Thank you.

Yeah...ok. I would be more than happy with such a result.
